About me

bioBonjour,

My name is Tom Bossis, I am 21 years old. I am an ex professional cyclist and student of literature in Tokyo, Japan.

I was born in Angers, France in 1994 and spent my childhood in Celles-sur-Belles, a village of the countryside of western France. I have always been fascinated by cycling. As a kid, I was told that I was too young to ride a bike, that there was no club by the region. When I was 12 years old, after five years of tennis and four of football, I accidentally learnt that my mathematics teacher was leading a cycling club, and he became my first coach ever in the Pédale Saint Florentaise de Niort

And I moved to Lyon the following year. I took a licence in the Entente Cycliste Pierre-Bénite Saint-Genis-Laval where I raced for five years. I got my first regional results, and integrated the junior squad of the DN1 team CR4C Roanne.

With the CR4C Roanne, I become Rhône-Alpes champion, got 9th of the French Championships and finished the year 8th of the French national ranking. After one discovery year of the Elite level in the DN1 team, I joined the Chambéry Cyclisme Formation for 2014. Under the coulours of the World Tour AG2R la Mondiale development team, I took part to very high-level races such as the Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour or Paris-Roubaix U23. In 2015, I climbed up to the continental level, and raced with the Romanian n°1 professional team Tusnad Cycling.

Since then, I stopped my athleete career in order to dedicate myself to my first goal ever : to write. I am currently a literature student in Tokyo, Japan. Today, cycling is for me a mean of travelling and discovering the world.
