山中湖 (Lake Yamanaka), Yamanashi-ken, Japan
Because of the Tanzawa mountains, approaching from the east and Tokyo, Mount Fuji hides itself for a little while. It remains visible sometimes, when your view point is high enough, or your valley wide enough. So when you finally climb over the last pass, and arrive on the Fuji plateau, it is the exact opposite : nothing prevents you anymore from viewing the perfect shape of the giant mountain. As one of the best places to enjoy it, Lake Yamanaka is a little piece of heaven on earth.
