Sakuramachi (桜町), Iida, Japan
Sakuramachi literally means “cherry blossom city”, and it is the name of a district in Iida city, in the province of Nagano. It is a very common name, and the Kanji 桜 (Sakura, cherry blossom) is everywhere in Japan. Around temples, alongside streets, most of the trees are now wearing their pink costume for no more than two weeks. For me, has just started the sakura hunt !
