日の出山 (Mount Hinode), Tokyo, Japan
Hinode literally means “exit of the sun” and means sunrise. I can guess without much trouble that it is because Mount Hinode is one of the highest peaks of the first ridge of mountains in western Tokyo, and then offers a great view upon the rising sun on the metropolis. I used climbing on its slopes by bike (an interminable kilometer at a 25% average) but I got to the summit for the first time. Here is how it looks by a rainy afternoon.
