東大寺 (Toudaiji), Nara, Japan

Pre-race rides are some of my favourites, as except one or two efforts, you just have to turn legs in order to recover from a tough trip that brought you to a place you know nothing about, and there can be no better excuse for touring. My aim of today was the Japan ancient capital city Nara, and one of it most famous temples, the Toudai-ji. A similar atmosphere to Kyoto can be felt up there, except that there is absolutely no one, and that some deer can guide you all around the place.
